Accompaniment

We are seeking volunteers who are willing to accompany an immigrant to their immigration court hearing, ICE check-in, or biometrics appointment. This is handled on an as-needed basis. Community activists and attorneys from around the state contact us when someone, often alone, has a hearing scheduled in the Cleveland Immigration Court, an appointment with ICE, or a biometrics appointment at USCIS, and would like someone to attend the hearing or check-in. Please be aware that there may be times when I can only provide a couple of hours' notice that a volunteer is needed.

If you are interested in participating, please complete the Immigration Accompaniment form.

Court Monitoring

We are also looking for volunteers to monitor cases in the Immigration Court. This is a bit more structured, requiring more of your time and training, which we provide. To provide more details, check out our one-pager, which outlines the history and explanation of our Court Monitoring Project.

If you are interested in Court Monitoring, please complete this Google form: Immigration Court Monitoring. You will then be contacted about upcoming trainings.
